A little less than a year ago I posted footage of a shuttle launch filmed in Titusville, which is about as close as you can get to a shuttle launch for free. Well, one more perk of living in Florida is that it is narrow enough that you don’t actually have to go to Cape Canaveral to see a shuttle launch. I watched the latest launch (STS-126) in front of my house last night. Granted, the view wasn’t as good and the experience wasn’t quite the same, but it was still very impressive. Considering I’m over 120 miles from the launch site, it’s amazing that I can see the shuttle as well as I could. Anyway, here’s my edited video from the launch last night.
