On the way home from daycare today, I was asking Toren questions. He then volunteered that he liked one of the other kids’ fathers better than he likes me. When I asked him why, he said, “Because he’s stronger than you are.” Of course I had to pursue that, so I asked him, “How do you know he’s stronger?” Toren then said, “Well, he has a bigger belly than you do, and it has lots of muscle in it, so he’s stronger. His belly is big, not like yours.”
So, yeah… Is that a compliment in some really weird way, or do I need to put on some weight so my son respects me?
