  • Toren on the nets at Busch Gardens

There’s something about my little boy climbing on these nets that makes me want to film him: Maybe it’s just that he looks so small compared to the nets, but he’s so much bigger than he used to be.

  • still working on throwing

Since Toren is too young to feed the kangaroos, the zoo gives him free fish food to throw to the koi and ducks in a nearby pond.  Here he is doing his best to throw it to the ducks and fish: He won’t be headed to the major leagues any time soon…

  • jumping skills

Toren has jumping skills: We’re still working on the nunchuk skills!

  • Busch Gardens creatures

I mostly film Toren when we visit Busch Gardens, but I ended up filming a couple of other creatures while we were there one day.  Here’s an ant eater giving it’s baby a ride on its back: Toren insisted I film the mother giving the baby a ride. Toren found this snail crawling across a…

  • Toren’s on email…

Okay, Toren isn’t really able to send email yet (though we still have his email account we set up when he was born).  But he also has no conception of writing a letter.  He thinks any time you write something down that could be construed as words, it’s actually an email.  So, here he is…

  • hanging at the beach

I took Toren out to the beach one Sunday morning to watch a kite flying event.  The kites weren’t all that interested, so we went for a bike ride then went and played on the beach for a couple hours.  Here he is raking the sand in preparation for our massive sand castle construction project:

  • Toren at gymnastics

According to Debi, Toren regularly does backflips off this bar and lands on his feet: He didn’t pull off landing on his feet when I saw filmed him.  And the second time he tried, he did slip off and actually bit his lip just a little.  He was fine, but a little injured.

  • Toren pushing people around

It’s been a busy month, but I finally found a few minutes to upload videos. Here’s one of Toren pushing his stuffed monkey on the swing at our local park: He has recently gotten into stuffed animals, at the same time that he is talking more about his imaginary friend monster.  It must be a…

  • Toren likes all kinds of animals

(Debi wrote this one) When I got home from my recent 5 day trip, Toren had changed. In my absence he had gotten back to liking some stuffed animals (which he used to like a long time ago and then stopped paying attention to).  For example, when I went to get in the backseat of…

  • Toren’s growing – everywhere

Debi was out of town for a few days and just got back home.  Being away from Toren for even a few days right now means he’s learned new words by the time you see him again, so it does seem like he changes quickly. Once home, Debi asked Toren, “Have you grown since I…
