  • 2 year old honesty

While Toren regularly lies about having pooped in his diaper, one thing he does admit quite regularly is when he farts.  Apparently he’s proud of it.  When he farts and sees that others realize he did, he says, “That was mine.”

  • more splashpad action

As I mentioned earlier, we upgraded our Busch Garden passes into an annual pass.  And now that we know they have splashpads, we go prepared.  Here’s Toren trying to figure out some of the jets:

  • eating a burrito

When did my little boy grow so big he could eat a burrito on his own?

  • “away” and “light”

The video below shows two things Toren does.  First, for the last few months whenever he is pooping he’ll sneak away and if we come looking for him he’ll say, “Away” and point for us to go away.  I can understand that; not many people like to “do their business” in public.  Toren has also…

  • McKay Bay Wilderness Trail

I took Toren hiking June 12th at a new location.  I’m always looking for local hikes that are a couple of miles in length as that is about how long Toren will last in the backpack.  I found this one right on the bay.  Basically, McKay Bay Park is a barrier between the trash incinerator…

  • Toren dancing with Debi

Another activity Toren has recently taken up: dancing.  Of course, Debi and I have strongly encouraged this behavior.  Here he is showing off his “kicks” and “spins”:

  • Toren driving his car

While he’s had his Cozy Coupe for almost 6 months, he has only recently taken a serious interest in his car.  He now drives it all around the house, parking it in the strangest of places:

  • ant killer

While we strongly discourage Toren from hitting, kicking, or biting, there is one exception: ANTS!  If you lived in Florida, you’d understand.  Fighting off ants is a constant battle in our yard, so when Toren sees one, we don’t discourage him from stomping on them (and I encourage it):

  • mega umbrella boy

I found the world’s best umbrella at Target about 9 months ago. My former umbrella, one I bought on our trip to Japan in 2006, finally fell apart. So I went looking for an umbrella that is compact enough to fit in my backpack (you always carry an umbrella in Tampa) but that folded out…

  • Toren hides like an ostrich

We were organizing Toren’s closet, where we store his diapers, and ended up with several empty boxes, which, of course, turned into toys for Toren.  He proceeded to “hide” in this one: Related to this, Toren did “disappear” one day. Debi was playing with him but came into the office for a minute to ask…
