  • kicking back

Toren has now taken over our spots on our couch:

  • all grown up now

We pulled out our Halloween stuff back in September and found Toren’s first Halloween costume.  Toren wanted to try it on:

  • lions

During the outing to Busch Gardens mentioned earlier with some friends, I snapped this photo of Toren in front of the lion pen: Busch Gardens also has some bronze lions kids can sit on, which Toren and Serena did:

  • baby delivery

I took Toren to a play area in a local mall one day.  Some older kids were running around like maniacs, knocking over all the little kids.  Toren, seeing the chaos, chose to just sit on this stork and watch: Later, Toren found a small game attached to one of the walls.  Just as he…

  • bathroom art

On two separate occasions I walked into our bathroom and found items carefully arranged in a row: You never really know what he’s going to do these days.

  • well-trained parents

Debi and I were talking over dinner one night about Toren’s development.  His language skills are coming along fine and he’s always been perfectly well-developed with his physical skills.  But Debi had noticed that he is particularly good at problem solving.  If he can’t get something or wants something, he’s pretty good at figuring out…

  • motivation to come visit

We’ve been trying to help Toren learn that he has more than one name.  He knows the other names – “Marx” and “Cragun” – but he still doesn’t seem to realize that they are names for him. We tried quizzing him one night to see if he would remember what his last name is.  Here’s…
