Another activity Toren has recently taken up: dancing.  Of course, Debi and I have strongly encouraged this behavior.  Here he is showing off his “kicks” and “spins”:

While he’s had his Cozy Coupe for almost 6 months, he has only recently taken a serious interest in his car.  He now drives it all around the house, parking it in the strangest of places:

While we strongly discourage Toren from hitting, kicking, or biting, there is one exception: ANTS!  If you lived in Florida, you’d understand.  Fighting off ants is a constant battle in our yard, so when Toren sees one, we don’t discourage him from stomping on them (and I encourage it):

I found the world’s best umbrella at Target about 9 months ago. My former umbrella, one I bought on our trip to Japan in 2006, finally fell apart. So I went looking for an umbrella that is compact enough to fit in my backpack (you always carry an umbrella in Tampa) but that folded out…

We were organizing Toren’s closet, where we store his diapers, and ended up with several empty boxes, which, of course, turned into toys for Toren.  He proceeded to “hide” in this one: Related to this, Toren did “disappear” one day. Our neighbor bought an electric scooter for her young son but he outgrew it pretty quickly after she bought it for him.  One day while we were outside playing she brought it over and gave it to Toren.  It took him a while to figure out how to ride it and make it go with…

We posed Toren as a plumber a while back (mostly so I could take a photo of his plumber’s crack), but now he’s actually trying to help with the toilets.  He sees Debi clean them and knows that she uses a brush and moves it around inside the toilet.  I caught him doing it one…

Also while at Walmart Toren found a floaty noodle and a beach ball and developed a new game: hit the ball with the noodle (not all that novel, but unique for him):

During another automotive pitstop at Walmart Toren found this cool little Red Flyer scooter.  He instantly took to it and proceeded to ride it around the entire store.  The short video clip below doesn’t really do his speed justice: He was really moving on that thing:

We’ve struggled to find fruit Toren will eat.  He hasn’t liked any of the following: strawberries, grapes, blueberries, mango, canteloupe.  He’ll occasionally eat the following: bananas, apples, oranges.  And, finally, he likes: pears (canned, of course), and watermelon.  Here he is chowing down on some watermelon:
