Toren voted
We recently had local elections here in Tampa. As the place we vote isn’t that far from our house (maybe a mile and a half), we decided to walk and take Toren along. After we voted, Toren wanted our stickers:

Toren v. light toy
We picked this toy up at the pizza place we visited in Utah – it’s a stretchy toy that lights up when you move it. Toren’s really moving it in this video, until, well, you’ll see (about the 22 or 23 second mark): No permanent damage done!

Does the door insulator “ride”?
This is another in the long series of objects Toren has tried to “ride” – our door insulator (a bag filled with beans we put along the bottom of the front door to better insulate it):

Toren’s small steps
For a while Toren was doing this little shuffle where he would take a couple of small steps, then stop. The only footage of it I managed to get was while we were waiting for the neighbor to take Toren and I for a ride on his new cart. While we waited for him, Toren was…

Toren and Debi under the bed sheets
One night while Debi and I were making our bed, I convinced Toren to lie on the bed while we put the sheets on. He thought it was fun: (apologies for another crappy video; my phone doesn’t shoot good video in the dark)

Toren and the candy pig
Candy pig? Candy pig you say? Yep! Debi’s advisor gave it to her. Apparently it’s a tradition in her Italian-American family (from her home town in NY). It’s like a candy cane, but in the shape of a pig. No, I don’t get it either. But Toren liked it:

Toren dancing
Toren has quite the reputation for being a dancer at his daycare. You can see why in this video as he dances with the soap dispenser (it has a cap that plays music, which is how long you are supposed to wash your hands):

Toren running a race
Toren decided he wanted to race one day (all on his own). A race consists of standing by either the desk or the wall in the office, one of us counting down, “On your mark, get set, go!” and everyone running across the room. My favorite part is the sound Toren makes while he runs,…
