  • Toren on the front steps

There’s just something about a toddler sitting on the front steps of a house that is cute:

  • cat problem and innate morality

Our neighbors to the east of us recently moved out (they were renting).  In the last couple of months before they moved out, we think they adopted a young cat.  They may not have and the cat may have just showed up recently, but it seemed to spend a lot of time in their yard,…

  • Toren on toys at Boca Ciega Park

I took Toren for a hike in Boca Ciega Millenium Park in mid-October. After our hike (about 45 minutes), I let him loose on the toys there. Here are some videos of him going down slides (he loves slides) and swinging (not a big fan):

  • Toren dancing

  • Toren falling down

Toren was standing on a book in the kitchen one day, and then falling down for fun.  Of course, as soon as I started filming him he wanted to see the video, but I caught him doing it once:

  • Toren and Debi rocking and reading

Here’s a cute little video of Toren and Debi in our rocking chair reading a book together:

  • blinking to smile

I told Toren to smile for these photos.  What did I get?

  • Toren update

While I’ve been posting pictures and videos, I haven’t actually written much about what Toren has been doing lately.  Language-wise, he knows a few words that he repeats regularly – “dada,” “mama,” “bye,” “ball,” etc.  He also occasionally says words but rarely when we ask him too.  Tonight he said “parrot” after I told him…
